The Manifesto
Energizing Your Space The Right Way
So you’re looking to add some character to your home? We love that you’re ready to JAZZ IT UP a bit or add more functionality to what may be a chaotic space. Your current choices are to a) add it to the wish list but never really get to it, because honestly that’s how it goes, b) DIY-it, because sometimes that’s just what we have to do or c) hire the right team (US!) that will give purpose and excitement to your space while still maintaining a high end look.
Throw out everything you know about DIY and renovation. We are not your big factory warehouse business who will blow through your home with tools, noise and mess. We are your family, boutique style shop affording intimate and personable interactions. We prioritize your space and family by following safety and environmentally friendly precautions; leaving your space better than when we arrived. We tailor our work just for you. So get ready to redefine your definition of home upgrades.
It’s the quality for us.
Remember those pieces your grandma used to have back in the day - solid, durable, and able to withstand the test of time? Yeah, that’s the mold we follow.
We use grade A tools that enhance our accuracy and efficiency.
We select premier wood most optimal for your project (pine, cedar, oak, etc.)
We select premier paint and finishes giving our work a seamless look while also creating a durable and sustainable surface.
Your home environment is important to us.
Here are a few items we bring along with us to take care of you and your family.
Air Purifier to keep your home odor free
Drop cloths & protective gear
Masks, thermometer, hand sanitizer & wipes (per covid protocols)
“Being naive to the difficulties of woodwork and the creation process, I did not know the task that I entrusted them with. However, they crafted a beautiful piece without any specifications or guide, just a photo. They were always professional, updated me regularly and were timely with delivery. We will definitely use them again for other projects. I would recommend them 1000%, I guarantee that you will not regret an experience with them.”

The Process
Step 1
Clarity.
Post-inquiry, we’ll set up a time to see your space and will likely have a few additional interactions after our initial meeting to ensure we have clarity on your vision.
Step 2
Proposal.
We submit a Proposal to you outlining your project’s overview and goals, projected timeline, and estimated fee summary. Acceptance of the Proposal secures your project start date.
Step 3
Formalities.
Once you have returned a signed contract for services and submitted your 50% deposit one week before your project start date, we can purchase your project materials.
Step 4
Execute.
Much of our work happens on site. We make sure the proper preparations are done to protect your home. We work meticulously yet efficiently to bring your vision to life.
FAQs
What jobs do you not perform at this time?
We aren’t your typical contractors so we don’t offer full home renovations, free standing furniture (apart from patio furniture), landscaping, kitchen renovations, floor renovations, interior design or standalone painting.
What jobs do you normally accept?
We specialize in decorative wall paneling, wainscoting, built-ins (bookcases, benches, banquets, etc.), entryway solutions, custom barn doors, floating desks and floating shelves.
What if I have an idea that’s outside of your normal services?
You are still welcome to inquire. We will be able to let you know if we can accommodate that service. If we are unable, you will not be charged a consultation fee.
Why do you charge a consultation fee?
Part of the K.Curry Way is taking the time needed with each inquiry to ensure we have a good handle of your vision. That allows us to provide as accurate an estimate as possible. This may require a few interactions before getting it just right. Coming up with designs and plans for your project happens BEFORE we receive your commitment. Should you accept our proposal, we will apply your consultation fee to your final costs.
How do payments work?
One to two weeks before your project is scheduled to begin, we send an invoice of your total costs. We expect a 50% deposit of that total cost one-week before your scheduled start date. The remaining balance is due on the final day of work. Depending on the type of project you have, the final day may be considered the last day of work or the day of delivery.
Do you have payment plans?
We understand that costs weigh heavily on the decision making process. Unfortunately, we do not offer payment plans at this time.
How long is the turnaround time?
We do most if not all of our work ourselves- rarely outsourcing subcontractors. We make every effort to turn projects around in a timely matter. We consider our work to be of high quality. We do not compromise the quality of our work to accommodate time schedules. You will be made aware of a projected timeline upon receipt of your initial proposal.
Do you charge extra for installation and delivery?
Yes, some projects will include installation and delivery fees. The charge will be separately itemized on your invoice. This is a charge typically seen for our barn doors.
What safety precautions do you exercise?
As a nurse with a family ourselves, we get it. We take the safety of you and your family seriously. See our detailed COVID policy here.
